The Miva Merchant can handle thousands of categories and products. The xBase
compatible data files can be opened and managed in dozens of different database management
tools, and the system's architecture allows for fast product search and instant
organization, even with a very large number of products. |
| Modular Architecture
The Miva Merchant is based on a modular design, and new modules can be integrated
into the main system with the push of a button. Developers can implement their own
customized API. Modules can be developed for fulfillment, user interface, shipping,
payment, currency, sales tax and batch reporting. |

Existing sites can easily be expanded to include the Miva Merchant merely by
hyperlinking to the system. All of the online store functionality - product lookup,

The Miva Merchant provides for encryption of all sensitive data via SSL prior to
transmission. This includes order information during customer ordering and order
processing. The central administrator can grant store-level development permissions to

New users can work in "novice" mode, with detailed prompting about each
field, and overall tutorial information about each screen; expert users can toggle the
prompt mode off for silent editing and back on for "hints". |
